I recently found myself relocating 1,421 miles from Arlington, Texas to Southern California.  Under normal circumstances this trip should have taken about 21 hours to drive. Unfortunately, with my travel companions, it ended up taking four days (don’t ask). During that time I found myself with a lot of free time.  I was able to compile a subjective list of the best film podcasts.

If you are anything like me, once you have found a subject you are passionate about, you have to know everything there is to know about that subject.  For me that subject is cinema.  I have to know the history of cinema technology pioneers like Edison and the Lumiere brothers.  I want to learn about great directors like Robert Bresson, Orson Wells and Akira Kurosawa.  I want to absorb the film techniques that will help me become a better storyteller.  Here are some resources that are helping me achieve these goals:
