Warner Bros. Pictures and the Chrysler brand are teaming up for a video contest to promote the cinematic release of “The Dark Knight Rises”. The “Imported from Gotham City,” contest allows enthusiasts with the capabilities to download audio files, movie clips and graphics from their website here.

 

Contestants have two-weeks starting June 15, 2012, to create a commercial utilizing the downloaded content. Contestants will make a 25 second or less TV spot and up-load it back to the site.  The winning spot will be determined by public vote, originality, creativity, memorability and brand effectiveness. A gallery of the submissions will go live on the site Saturday, June 30,2012.

 

After the submissions go live the online community will vote for their favorites over a four-day period. The top three finalists will be announced online & Christopher Nolan the director of “The Dark Knight Rises,” will choose the winner.

 

The winning video will air on national television the week of the film’s release. The winner will also receive a trip to Hollywood to finish their spot alongside a professional editor. They also will travel to New York City to attend the red carpet premiere screening of the “The Dark Knight Rises,” on Monday, July 16.
